The ‘Autumn’ Gremlin:

F A L L S E A S O N

A quick ‘note’ on Autumn that I wrote for myself, which is actually… kind of sweet and helpful. So, I share this more spiritual poem along with other great, random things.

The pause. Pause at the fall and watch time bend

To ‘F a l l’ in both the senses of the word in season and momentum

Fall long enough, pause long enough, in the centre of the wheel of life and hang out in the middle

Sweet sensai, come back to the centre and take the goodies from the outer edges of life into the umbrella,

your collective shelter of stillness at the centre

Run down the mountain through the rabbit hole with temperance—

an invitation to stop pushing and pause to see the easy way down and forward

What is ready to be released and cleared?

To be composted for new growth?

Death is the great gardener

Equinox signals the season of death in the Northern Hemisphere

and the season of rebirth in the Southern Hemisphere

The way forward is not full speed ahead, for that is the joke of the conditioned mind

Instead, the way forward is inside the cracks of your life

Inside the cracks of wrinkles, the folds of friendship, the cracking of a voice

Because the break is where the light enters,

and inside the gap through the fall is the pause

through the pause is the harvest for which you came here to reap

Moments pass

You get to experience how to experience each moment

So pause at the fall and watch time bend

Amen

Some of my best threads this week (IMHO of course)

W E E K L Y M U S I N G S

Thought bubbles I’m marinating over:

1) Becoming 50% the work of art and 50% human. I.e. taking the concept of life becoming art and art becoming life that I previously wrote about, and thinking of my life/me as t h e work of art.

2) Autumn equinox: what needs to die to compost the soil for the spring? What seeds will I plant now to harvest in six months’ time? And using this full moon to release the past six months.

3) This conversation between Patti Smith and Dua Lipa

4) The new Gucci collection by recently appointed Sabato de Sarno

5) My thoughts on beauty and the fashion industry

P.S.
In case I didn’t give you enough random madness to chomp on this week, here is a good nugget on the art of evolving & life from Naval.

When you look at the greatest artists and creators, they have this ability to start over that nobody else does.

A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought, they must be earned.

See you in October
